The American Dance Festival in Cleveland (ADF in CLE)

Summer Dance Workshop

DANCECleveland in Collaboration with Cleveland State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance

Playhouse Square

is a four-day workshop comprised of classes in modern, hip hop, and contemporary dance along with other dance activities and performances for professional and advanced level dancers ages 13 to 28.

The Summer Dance Workshop will kick-off a the ADF in CLE Summer Dance Festival which takes place

July 23-26 in the CLE theatre district

and allows time and space for the workshop participants to immerse themselves in their training while enjoying the festival activities and live dance performances that ADF in CLE will be offering.

SUMMER DANCE WORKSHOP DATES: Tues. July 23th – Fri. July 26th

TIME: Classes will run Tuesday—Friday from 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m with an informal showing Friday evening. Time TBD.

VALUE ADDED FESTIVAL ACTIVITIES: Stay an extra day and celebrate the National Day of Dance with free master classes, performances, and other activities. All events will take place on Saturday, July 27th. Times TBD.

WHERE: Cleveland State University Arts Campus, Middough Building;

1901 East 13th St. Cleveland, OH 44114 and other locations within the Playhouse Square Theatre District.

REGISTRATION FEE: $360 (Includes all classes, performance ticket, t-shirt and more!)

EARLY BIRD SPECIAL: $324 (Registration form, resume, and full payment due by April 8th)

Limited number of Full and Partial Scholarships are available.

Housing and food are not included. Dancers can download and complete the Housing Form or contact DANCECleveland for housing options at CSU. Housing must be secured by June 14th, 2019.

HOW TO APPLY:

Early Bird Applications received before April 8th, 2019: Fill out and return attached Application Form, Resume, and full discounted payment of $324 to DANCECleveland. Once received, you will receive a confirmation email.
Applications received after April 8th, 2019: Fill out and return attached Application form, Resume, and 1st payment of $180 to DANCECleveland. Once received, you will receive a confirmation email. Final payments or remaining balance due by June 14th.
Scholarship Applications: Fill out and return attached Application Form and Resume, along with your Scholarship Application and Teacher Recommendation Form by April 8th, 2019. Scholarships will be announced by May 1st.
Full Refunds (minus a $30 application fee) will be granted up until June 24th, 2019. All canceled registrations past June 24th will be granted a 50% tuition refund
